What does a typical coding club lesson look like?
A typical coding club lesson combines fun, interactive activities with hands-on coding projects. Sessions start with a brief introduction or demonstration, followed by a coding project that highlights a specific concept. Our projects encourage creativity and problem-solving, making learning both engaging and educational. Each club is tailored to match the age and skill level of the children.
What will you teach my child?
Depending on the type and age level of the club the children will either be learning block-based or text-based coding. Our younger coders will use Scratch or Scratch Junior. While our older coders will learn JavaScript or Python.
How can I find out how my child is getting on at a club?
You can speak with your child's coding teacher at the end of a session or message us for feedback. Additionally, there will be an opportunity to receive feedback on your child's progress at the end of the term.
Can my child join mid-term if they missed the start?
Yes, if there is space in the club your child may join throughout the term.
Do you accept childcare vouchers and Tax-free Childcare?
Unfortunately we can not accept childcare vouchers for our after-school clubs.
What is your cancellation policy?
Unfortunately, our clubs are only available to students enrolled at each school. However, we’d be happy to reach out to your child’s school to explore the possibility of offering a club there.
Can my child join a club at another school?
BetaGen does not provide lunch. Please pack a nut-free, healthy lunch for your child. We do provide snacks during morning and afternoon breaks, along with water throughout the day. If your child has dietary requirements or allergies, please let us know when booking or at check-in.

Who are the teachers?
We understand the vital role great teachers play in education. That’s why we carefully select, train, and support every BetaGen teacher.
Our educators are experienced coding professionals and have a passion for working with children. With expertise in coding, computer science, digital art, and app development, they bring a mix of creative and technical skills to the classroom. This ensures every child finds inspiration and enjoys their coding journey.
All BetaGen teachers undergo thorough vetting including a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
