These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Beta Generation Academy website, products, and services (the “Site” and “Services”). By accessing the Site or signing up for our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use our Services.

1. About Us

Beta Generation Academy provides creative, educational activities, camps, and after-school clubs for children, aiming to inspire the next generation of innovators and problem-solvers.

2. Use of the Site

You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes. You must not:

Attempt unauthorized access to our systems or other users’ accounts.
Disrupt, damage, or impair access to the Site.
Copy, resell, or reproduce any content without permission.

We may suspend or terminate access if misuse or breach of these Terms is suspected.

3. Bookings and Payments

Bookings are made via the BetaGen website or directly with schools.
School partnership bookings are made under the school’s own policies and procedures, including cancellations, refunds, and attendance.
Payment is required in advance unless otherwise agreed.
Bookings are only confirmed once payment is received.
Prices may change; you will be notified prior to booking.

4. Cancellations and Refunds

All cancellations, changes, and requests to use BetaGen credit must be submitted in writing to hi@betagen.academy.

Camps:

Cancel within 48 hours of booking for a full refund.
Cancel 14 or more days before camp start: 70% refund or 100% credit/date transfer.
Cancel less than 14 days before camp: no refund, date transfer may be offered if requested more than 24 hours in advance and places are available.
Cancel within 24 hours of camp start: no refund or transfer.

Behaviour: Refunds will not be issued if a child is withdrawn due to behaviour compromising safety or wellbeing.

Force Majeure: If a session is cancelled due to events beyond our reasonable control (e.g., severe weather, venue issues, public health guidance), we may offer reasonable alternatives or credits. Any credits are valid for 12 months from the date of issue.

After-School Clubs:

Clubs booked through schools follow the school’s own policies and procedures.
Where clubs are booked via the BetaGen website, sessions are sold as blocks of sessions. No refunds are issued once a block has started, except in exceptional circumstances at our sole discretion.

5. Safety and Supervision

All staff are vetted and trained.
Parents/guardians must provide accurate medical and emergency information.
Children must be collected promptly at the end of each session.
We may remove a child from a session if behaviour compromises safety or disrupts the session.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, materials, branding, curriculum, and educational resources created by Beta Generation Academy, including software, lesson plans, worksheets, videos, images, and other materials are our intellectual property. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, adapt, or use these materials in any way without our prior written permission.

7. Photography and Media

With consent, we may photograph or film sessions for promotional purposes. You may opt out at any time by notifying us in writing.

8. Privacy and Data Protection

We comply with GDPR and relevant UK regulations. Personal data is collected and stored securely. Please see our Privacy Policy for details.

9. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss, damage, or injury during sessions, except where caused by our negligence. Parents/guardians must inform us of medical or behavioural needs. We are not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings.

10. Third-Party Links and Services

The Site may contain links to third-party sites. We are not responsible for the content, terms, or privacy policies of these sites.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page, and continued use constitutes acceptance of the changes.
